4/10/2013 - R. K. Redding Construction (RKR), a full service, multi-disciplinary construction management and general construction contracting firm, had seven of its supervisors receive the prestigious Ron Amerson Supervisors’ Safety Award from the AGC Georgia, the statewide Chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. (AGC of America) at the 17th annual award ceremony.
The Ron Amerson Supervisors' Safety Awards program is designed to recognize AGC of America members' supervisors for outstanding contributions to safety on their jobsites. The measurement criterion is based on safety incidence rates for individual supervisors in conjunction with actual man-hours directly supervised by each employee. Only those supervisors who showed a commitment to outstanding safety are eligible.
The following RKR Supervisors were honored (and met the requirements of zero accidents and a minimum number of man-hours supervised in 2012):
"It is an honor to have so many of outstanding supervisors recognized for their efforts by AGC," said Randall Redding, President/CEO of RKR. "It reflects positively on our entire organization and shines a spotlight on the importance of workplace safety."
RKR also recently received a national Leadership in Safety Award from CNA, the seventh largest U.S. commercial insurance carrier. CNA presented only nine Leadership in Safety Awards to their more than 7,000 construction clients across the country in 2012. CNA’s Leadership in Safety Award recognizes customers who take the initiative to create a safer, more productive workplace, encourage behaviors that prevent accidents and prepare for potential business disruptions.
